How to control the center distance between two holes (bores) with the MICRO-HITE?

To control the center distance, two approaches are possible. In 1D mode (ST2):

  1. Calibrate the probe on the reference gauge (12.7 mm).
  2. Measure the bores: for the MICRO-HITE (manual), place the probe in each bore and measure the top and bottom points to obtain the center. For the MICRO-HITE+M (motorized), start the automatic bore measurement.
  3. Calculate the center distance by selecting the two measurement blocks for the centers and pressing the difference/distance calculation key. In 2D mode (accessible via secondary functions FX in ST2 mode, if the holes are in a two-dimensional plane): Measure the two holes (e.g., with the circle function) then use the "Distance between 2 points, center distance" function.

How to measure the center-to-center distance between two holes?

For vertical distance (1D), use ST2 mode: calibrate the probe, measure the high and low reversal points of each hole to find their centers, then select the centers and use the distance calculation key. For 2D distance, access 2D Mode via FX functions, measure both holes using the circle function, and use the 'Distance between 2 points' calculation.

How to measure the center-to-center distance between two holes?

For 1D vertical measurement, use ST2 mode, calibrate the probe, and measure the reversal points of each bore to locate their centers; then use the distance calculation function. For 2D measurement, use the circle function to measure both holes and calculation the distance between their coordinates.

How to measure the distance (center-to-center) between two holes?

In 1D mode (ST2), calibrate the probe, measure the reversal points of both holes to find their centers, and use the distance calculation key. In 2D mode, measure both holes using the circle function and use the 'Distance between 2 points' feature to determine the exact center-to-center distance.
